Welcome to Digital Excursions into
Computer Programming and Web Design

My purpose in creating this web site was to share some of my knowledge of computing, web design, and computer programming. I also find that the process of writing about a topic reinforces my own knowledge of that topic.

To provide structure to the site, content has been organized into several categories.

The HTML section contains tutorials and article about writing HTML. Some of these date back to 1998 and are more of a historical curiosity.

The Humor section contains computer related jokes and stories that date back to the 80's.

The Links section is a collection of links to various computing related resources that I have found useful.

The Mainframe section contains articles pertaining to the IBM mainframe environment. It also contains some articles about programming using SAS and REXX.

The Web Design section contains tutorials and articles dealing with various web design issues.

The WYSIWYG or "What You See Is What You Get" section is where I have placed materials that do not fit into any of the other categories.

I hope that you find the materials here useful.
